Clubs
We are very fortunate at Swallow Dell to be able to offer a wide variety of clubs to our pupils, all run by our dedicated staff.
Summer Term Clubs
Clubs commence week commencing 20th April. All clubs start at 3.15pm and finish at 4.15pm. Last clubs will take place during week of 6th July 2026.
3:15-4:15pm
Clubs will not run on the following dates:
Monday 4th May – bank holiday Monday
1st June – INSET day
Tuesday 2nd June – school trip Wednesday
10th June- District Athletics
Whole week of 25th May – half-term break
Whole week of 22nd June – Sports day week

Mixed football and girls’ football
Mixed football and girls’ football
Football club will allow your child to develop their football skills, technique and teamwork skills. A football team will also be created from the children who attend the club from Year 5 & 6, attendance to the club will be taken into consideration when picking the team. Children must have water bottles, shinpads and football boots once the ground starts to get softer. They can wear football kits but will need warm and waterproof clothing too.

Gymnastics
Gymnastics
At gymnastics club, your child will develop their balance, agility and core strength. Children will use gymnastics equipment to develop routines and sequences. Children can wear their PE kit or clothing they wear for gymnastics outside of school. They must have a water bottle.

Multi-sports
Multi-sports
Each week a different sport will be chosen for the duration of the session. For example, basketball, football, dodgeball and tennis. Children must have water bottles, trainers and can wear their PE kits.

Netball
Netball
Children will learn how to play netball, the role of each different position and how to work together as a team. A netball team will then be selected to play against other local primary schools. Children must have water bottles, trainers and can wear their PE kits.

Arts & crafts
Arts & crafts
At arts & crafts club, children can let let their creativeness grow by creating beautiful pieces of art or with a range of materials such as paints, watercolours, clay and much more!

Ball skills
Each week a different sport will be chosen for the duration of the session. For example, basketball, football, dodgeball and tag rugby. Children must have water bottles, trainers and can wear their PE kits.

Dodgeball
Dodgeball
At dodgeball club, children will dodge, duck, dip and dive to avoid being hit by the ball, whilst trying to catch members of the other team out.

Cricket
Cricket
At cricket club you will be able to develop your cricket skills. You will learn the fundamental cricket skills for catching, throwing, batting and bowling. Then you will be able to play fun matches, which work on your communication and teamwork skills. Children should wear their PE kit.

Bat and racket sports
Bat and racket sports
At bat and racket club each week you will learn the skills of a different racket or bat sport such as tennis, rounders and cricket! Children should wear their PE kit.

Rounders
Rounders
At rounders club you will be able to develop your rounders skills. You will learn the fundamental rounders skills for catching, throwing, batting and bowling. Then you will be able to play fun matches which work on your communication and teamwork skills.

Tennis
Tennis
At tennis club you will improve your coordination and agility. You will develop your forehand and backhand stroke as well as how to serve.

Athletics
Athletics
During athletics club each week you will learn a different athletics discipline such as different running races and a variety of throwing and jumping events.

Mindfulness Colouring and Drawing
Mindfulness Colouring and Drawing
Each week you will be able to colour and draw to calming music. Following step by step instructions to create beautiful images.
